POTENTIAL

 

Saurobotics lends itself to a variety of merchandising opportunities - potentially building the series into the heart of a franchise. One of these is, naturally, a toyline: with the evolution gimmick, the Evolution Keys and the potential number of forms, not to mention the major human characters, there is a wide range of possible toys. This could even include soft toys and phone charms, and with Byte's physical reconstructions and the endless potential of vertex energy, the brand may be appropriate for licenced LEGO sets.

 

With the technological themes and the involvement of Henry's tablet, a touch-screen game could tie in to the series. This could incorporate the Key and evolution concepts, and there are a number of possible genres or styles that the game could use. If possible, an advanced Vertex Core item and associated Evolution Keys could be remotely connected to a person's game and used to activate the forms in-game, bringing to life the actions from the show (although of course, this must not be the only Vertex Core available at retail, as it would likely be expensive and mainly oriented towards those playing the game, as opposed to a more basic toy version for young fans).

 

A franchise could also spawn console-based games, comics and even branded apparel. Naturally, the more popular Saurobotics becomes, the more branches can be added to it as a franchise - and a toyline and touch-screen game would be the most obvious to accompany the series - but the core of the series has the potential to prompt and support a range of other media and merchandise like some of the greats amongst its predecessors.

 

Additionally, the mythos of Saurobotics can expand beyond the core Saurobot concept. This allows for one or more series diverging from the core of the franchise, exploring elements of vertex energy only touched upon in the series. With this, not only can the franchise bring about direct sequels and continuations focusing on the concept of Saurobots (which should always be the core of the franchise), but also create further branches that build a complex, thorough and engaging fictional world, brimming with potential.
