CREATOR

I discovered my passion for writing after my first drama lesson, at the age of 9. Upon coming home, I wrote the first scene or two of a script - it was terrible, of course, but it was the first spark of a love of writing. I soon began creating more scripts, improving in baby-steps and creating characters alongside my friends. It was a few years later, upon discovering written role-playing online, that I truly began to hone myself as a writer. I strengthened my characterisation, developed a prose style, and steadily built upon my creative style as I grew and matured. All the while, I continued working on a variety of scripted works. My individual stories prospered: I built a Transformers fan-universe, spinning out of the official 90s Beast Wars and Beast Machines series and developing into something radically removed from any official Transformers media; I continually redeveloped a unique story idea of my own; and in late 2012, I developed the earliest elements of what became Saurobotics. At present, I have multiple story ideas alongside Saurobotics, which I am interested in developing and exploring in the future.

With both western series (primarily British and American) and Japanese anime under my belt, of a range of genres and styles, I have acquired many creative skills and techniques. While I am not especially well-read, I have greatly enjoyed the likes of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Brighton Rock. Indeed, Pullman is perhaps one of the writers most influential towards my own creative style, alongside Russell T Davies, Steven Moffat and Gen Urobuchi. With everything from the off-the-wall comedic to the crushingly grim within my creative gamut, I feel that my capacity to create stories is one of my strongest qualities, with my skill in penning them ever-growing.

While I cannot deny that part of this endeavour with Saurobotics comes down to the potential financial returns, the largest part of it is to begin a creative career and see one of my stories brought to life. I have plenty of ideas, but no real experience in bringing them to life on a professional level. If at all possible, I would wish to be involved in the production of the series in some way, learning first-hand the ins and outs of producing an animated series and taking that experience, as well as much of whatever royalties or other earnings I'd make, and putting it back into my own creativity. I am well aware, of course, that this may be a high expectation, something which may not be possible or would at least rather not be considered by those interested in the series idea. However, that is in no small part what this endeavour is about - to witness an idea of my own creation brought to life, to learn and experience the full process behind it, and to start myself on what would hopefully be a lifelong career. I live and breathe the stories that I conjure, and Saurobotics could be the first step for me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and the rest of the site. The ideas covered across the site have taken a great amount of effort and reworking over the course of a couple of years, to refine them into something that I hope you find to be truly promising. Your support, in whatever means possible, would be deeply, truly appreciated.
